CRM 2013 Issue : Double click "Activate" button on Quote and "Mark Complete" button on Task form

CRM 2013 SP 1 Rollup4 (latest)

We found some users do double-click on button (either by accident or due to impatience).  Double click "Activate" button on Quote and "Mark Complete" button on form  causes the record status to get updated twice.  The audit history shows that the record status is updated from "Draft" to "Active", and then "Active" to "Active".

We have requirement to trigger Workflow and plugin when Quote status = Active.  The above issue has caused the workflow/plugin to fire twice.  Is there a workaround to handle this double clicking on button ?

Train the user to only click ones, but in regards of your workflow best practice is to always incorporate the possibility of a 'double trigger' and set a flagfield 'workflow already started' or something to kill the second workflow.

You can create workflow or plugin and register it on Quote entity.

    1) Workflow will trigger on change of status field
In workflow you can add condition like :
            If Quote:Status equals [Active] then:
                  "do your logic here "

    2) Plugin step will register on "SetStateDynamicEntity"

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,
