Error installing AX 2012 Database

I am trying to install AX 2012 in a test environment (VMware Workstation), running a DC, plus individual servers for database, AOS, SSRS.

All of the prerequisites are completing successfully, but when I install the database (first role being installed) I am getting an error regardless of the models that I select to install.

"The model store schema was not found in the database MicrosoftDynamicsAX."

I am including the DynamicsSetupLog (see below)...

 

I have tried it multiple times, but keep getting the same error.

    It looks like datamodel is not imported correctly. you can import model using either ways.

    I had face that problem I the reason is installing SQL 2012 server

    While the optimal platform is

    Windows 2008 R2 & SQL 2008 R2 servers

    So uninstall SQL 2012 and install SQL 2008 R2 to solve that problem

    I had done that and it work very well

    Make sure that the account used to perform the installation is given sysadmin role in the SQL server.

    Make sure that the account used to run the AX Setup is sysadmin and local Admin.

    There is no problem using SQL 2012!

    One important thing, try to copy the AX instalation file to the SQL Server and run the setup from there. we know that model store is a big file and maybe there can be some network probems during the copy of this file as you are runing setup from a shared location!

    Is it OK to remove the local admin and sysadmin permissions after the install?

    My guess is that DB-Owner and DB-write are sufficient, is that correct?

    Acording to the installation guide for AX2012 the AOS servisse account must be member of the following roles:

    db_ddladmin

    db_datareader

    db_datawriter

    The best way to make sure the AOS Account has sufficient access to the modelstore is to run the Initialize-AXModelStore PowerShell command and apply the -AOSAccount argument. This will ensure the AOS account gets sufficient access to both the database in general, but also explicit access to a certain list of database objects.
