Hi everyone
I know there is software you can get that explain how to create collections management notes programmatically in GP. I was testing this a few weeks ago and misplaced the software and when I restored my live DB into my TEST environment I lost the stored proc also. I only remember the sp was called AddUpdateDeleteCollectionManagementNote.
Anyone have any info for me?
Hi Riian,
See if you can find anything related here:
community.dynamics.com/.../collectionsmanagementtipstricks
Other than that, I'd suggest to contact ProfAd.. I'm not aware of any other tool that integrates with CM.
How did you create the SP in the first place ? didn't you kept the script somewhere ?
Hi Beat
I eventually found the stored proc on a TEST company I forgot about. Now I only have the sp and not the instructions that go with it but at least I can do my testing again.
I have attached the proc if you wanted to see it.
I have also contacted ProfAdv.
Thank you

Thank you Riaan for sharing the code.
Unfortunately that link seems to be blocked by the Dynamics Community servers and is not allowing the download.
Maybe you could share it thru some other means ? (drop box, 1Drive, etc.)
Hi again
I have one better. I got feedback from ProfAdv and then remembered how I got the code initially. Here is the response from ProfAdv.
"The SDK can be installed during the installation of Collections Management. The SDK folder is placed in the Documentation folder within the GP code folder to in which Collections Management is installed. The SDK includes additional stored procedures that can be used to import collections notes. There is also a Dexterity API that can be installed and called within the Dexterity code. We do not currently have an external application for use with importing data into Collections Management. You would have to reach out to Microsoft for help with record/window notes, OLE notes, or document attachment within GP."
Have a good day.
Thank you very much Riaan,
I'll make a note on that one from ProfAd.. though it never occured to me that there was an SDK deployed when installing CM, but now that I checked the documentation, it's listed as part of the selection during the setup. :-)
I found all the SDK documentation under the CM-SDK folder once it's deployed in a folder. There are some very interesting lectures there.
