Hi,

The current Custom Extension version is 20.8.0.9 in a Dev Environment, Now, I want to deploy an upgraded version of the same app, version is 20.8.0.10. But, when I am trying to deploy the same using Business Central Administration Shell it's throwing error message.

How do I fix this issue ?

    Hi there,

The error shows that the current version is 20.8.0.11. So you can try changing the version to 20.8.0.12, and deploy.

Search Installation Status or Deployment Status in business central to find extension version information.
    Path:
Extension Management > Manage > Installation Status or Deployment Status

    Hope this helps!

Hi, it seems that the extension may have been published directly from VS Code in this environment, and the version is 20.8.0.11. As Ariba mentioned, it is recommended that you increase the version number to 20.8.0.12 and try again.
If it really doesn't work, you can consider unpublish and then re-publish. As long as Sync-NAVApp -Mode Clean is not run, the data will not be lost.

    Hope this helps as well.
    Thanks.

    Thanks for your reply ZHU.

We don't have any VS Code access to this environment. Generally, we use Powershell commands to deploy extensions. In the past we deployed extension 10 and 11 in the old Database(app version 9) but now we're trying into a new database (copy of production) and in this database, only one app exists that's version 9.

In the Extension management, it show version 9 and no other version.  The BC instance is the same one where old database was configure.

In the end, we could not deploy the version 10 but we deployed the version 11 without any issue.

Hi, glad to hear you've resolved the issue. Just to add some information, this is a bit like the problem mentioned below with multi-tenant deployment of the same PTE, but this has been solved in SaaS for a long time.
Dynamics 365 Business Central SaaS (Cloud) Test: Deploy the same PTE to different Tenants/Customers

    Hope this helps as well.
    Thanks.
