Wave Process Methods AX 2012

Hi,

I need to create a custom method to export order data to an xml file. This method needs to be part of a wave process, and thus, I need to create a custom WAVE PROCESS METHOD.

I am creating a method in class WHSPostEngineBase class, that extends WHSPostEngine. The WHSPostEngineBase contains other wave process methods (ex: validateWave), so I would assume creating a method here or inside a new class that extends WHSPostEngine should work. Any ideas what I am missing?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sorry if I did not make the issue clear, but my method needs to appear under remaining methods in the picture posted above.

Hi Matthew,

I assume that new methods won't appear on the wave template setup form until you've got them to appear at Warehouse management -> Setup -> Waves -> Wave process methods.

In addition to what Guy has said already i would like to add an importnat line here

you have to modify BaseEnum WHSPostMethodBase.

add a new element in this baseEnum with same name as the name of new-method define by.

after modifying Base Enum run the WaveProcess anc as suggested by Guy, and clik on Regenerate methods
