Purchase agreement renewal

Posted on by 5

Hi,

Is there a way to renew (or copy) a purchase agreement without having to manually create a new one?

Thanks Satish.  Pardon me for asking this, but what do you mean by DMF?  And, yes, this will be on a recurring basis.  We use purchase agreements in lieu of purchase orders for specific recurring expenses, such as utilities.  They must be renewed each year with different effective and expiration dates.  Was trying to get around having to create new ones for each on an annual basis.

    Hi Ludwig,

Thanks for quick response.  If this is trade agreement, no we are not using this functionality on the vendor/purchasing side.  We use purchase agreements in lieu of purchase orders for specific recurring expenses, such as utilities.  They must be renewed each year with different effective and expiration dates.  Hence my question on if there is a way to renew or copy the agreement then make any necessary changes such as amount and effective period dates.  I see a checkbox if the purchase agreement is renewable, but don't see a way to renew it.  Is there an option for this with vendors for trade agreements?

    Hi cbrown,

Don't see any option to do this. The option is not even there in D365, not even at line level. Take a look at DMF and see if there is something that can save you sometime (only if you have this scenario on recurring basis) else manual entry is the way to go.
