Hello! I'm trying to find out the best path to become a Microsoft Dynamics GP consultant. My company currently has a consultant, but they would like to move this service in house. They are willing to pay for the training, but we are still using Microsoft Dynamics GP. I know there are free training materials on Microsoft Learn, but nothing specific for Microsoft Dynamics GP. Would the training for Microsoft Dynamics 365 be sufficient to work on Dynamics GP? Any help to get started is greatly appreciated!

They are very different products so those learning materials are not particularly helpful.

You would be better off looking at the training offered by your GP partner or other large partners that offer Online training. Also maybe contact Amber Bell at Training Dynamo ?

Youtube is full of GP training material for particular situations. Don't worry if it a more than a few years old - except for a few things, most is still relevant.

In my opinion, keep your learning on scenario basis means whatever comes to you at work, read about it over internet and get knowledge from Help files. There are tones of material related to functional and technical side of GP, For any advance level of assistance your company can engage freelancers or independent GP consultants.
