Purchase Requisition Number

One of our customers recently started working with Purchase Requisition.

When i try to create a number sequence for PR and specify the reference as Purchase/Purchase Requisition I get this error

"Cannot create a record in Number sequence references (NumberSequenceReference). Datatype number sequence properties: 5110, None.
The record already exists."

And there is nothing for PR in the number sequence grid

Hi Mahmoud,

You don't have to fill the reference at the number sequence Form. Instead you should go to the parameters Form (Procurement & sourcing / Account Payable) and link the number sequence here.

The way you are trying to add this number sequence is not working for number sequence references which are available in the parameter forms.

There is no record for purchase requisition in both parameters

Hi Mahmoud,

Sorry, PR is shared Number Sequence.

Standard AX, PR number sequence is global. You need to set from Organization administration->Number Sequence

I know it is shared, that's what i was trying to achieve by going to Organization administration->Number Sequence but it won't allow me to put the reference.

And when I try the wizard it tells me that the system has the required number sequence.

Hello Mahmoud,

Just like Manish said, you can not find the PR number sequence in Parameters form. You can get it from

Organisation administration -> Number sequences as shown below:

I think something is wrong with the data because PR reference doesn't exist

I will make some searches in the related tables.
