ReportReport

Morning all,

We use a plug-in module called PeoplePoint to manage residents in AX 2009 (but it's the underlying logic that is incorrect here, so I hope someone can help me), there is a report to display invoice details. I've modified the standard report to allow a few extra details to be displayed and to format it for our company, however...

I have attempted to create a Method to display the resident's surname (as a payment reference), but when the report runs the surname shows up as that of the next resident in the report, so if page one is for Mr Smith and page two is for Mr Jones the surname displayed on Mr Smith's page will be Jones!!!

For instance, one of the forms I have created (as a modified copy of the built in report) is ECL_ACMResidentTaxInvoiceStatement_WA. In the top level Methods I have created a Method named residentSurname with the following code:

display CustAccount residentSurname()
{
return residentSurname;
}

Within the Report Designs, in the PageFooter AutoDesignSpecs I have added the string: ResidentSurname_1_1 with the DataMethod: residentSurname.

I'm hoping I've missed something stupidly obvious, but if anyone can point me in the right direction I'd be massively grateful!

If you need any other info, don't hesitate to ask.

Cheers

Dan

    Hi Dan,

    Can you tell which report you changed and what changes you have applied exactly? How did you include the datasource with the resident names? Probably you are fetching the resident on a wrong place or with wrong coding.

    Apologies, I just figured out that there is a separate method created to show the details at the footer of the receipts, so I had declared the residentSurname int he fetch method, but there is another method setResidentDetailsFooter which declares all the display variables for the footer of the report!
