Tracking appointment organized by another D365 user

We are currently requiring our sales members to track a minimum number of appointments into D365 each week, which they do using the Dynamics 365 App for Outlook.

The issue is that only the organizer of the meeting can track the appointment, and not any co-workers who were invited to the meeting.  The other meeting recipients are must create a duplicate appointment on their calendar and then track that duplicate meeting.  This is a huge waste of their time.

Users are set up for Server Side Sync for Appointments, Contacts, and Tasks.

Users also have appointments get auto generated from D365 that must sync to their Outlook calendar.

Any ideas or suggestions to allow the recipients to track appointments is appreciated.

    Hi partner,

You can track appointments from another person in your Dynamics 365 apps organization using Dynamics 365 App for Outlook. To enable this capability, you need to enable the OrgDBOrgSetting in your organization. Dynamics 365 apps provides the OrgDBOrgSettings tool that gives administrators the ability to implement specific updates that were previously reserved for registry implementations.

    1. Follow the instructions in this article for steps to extract the tool.
    2. After extracting the tool, enable the OrgDBOrgSetting TrackAppointmentsFromNonOrganizer.

You can also use this tool to edit the OrgDBOrgSetting TrackAppointmentsFromNonOrganizer.

After the OrgDBOrgSetting is enabled, when you open Dynamics 365 App for Outlook on an appointment created by another user in your organization, you can track the appointment. You will no longer see the banner blocking you from tracking the calendar item.

In addition, please refer to this blog about Dynamics 365 App for Outlook - Working with Appointments:
