Print management setup for sales invoice report

Hi all,

Can you please let me know , customer wants to run NEW REPORT FORMAT in sales invoice journal instead of STANDARD report.

Note - In Sales Invoice report , i have added new design in Sales Invoice report.

Shall i need to display my custom new design in the print management setup for example ( SalesInvoice.newReport ( PIC 2) ?

Please give me more shed on this.

    Hi @rp@n,

    I expect that you have a separate Japanese legal entity.

    Log into this company, open the print management and add your report.

    There is no coding required, you just have to select the report that you created.

    Only the Japanese company will have your new Japanese report available.

    All others not.

    Here are two screenshots about D365 F&O. And it is the similar with the ax. You can select different reports for different entity.

    As for the question to populate your report in Print management form, please refer to blog i give you above. Or here is a MS official document.

    -- where is the option to select Japaneses company?

    -- I have created a new Legal entity for JAPAN.

    if i set on Print management --  report format to salesInvoice.newdesign for legal entity JAPAN then for other legal entities in print management report format will show salesInvoice.report not salesInvoice.newdesign. RITE?

    this is the concecpt.

    Please give me more shed on this.

    Once you have deployed your Japanese report, it will become available in the print management form.

    Select it there for your Japanese company.

    This will affect your Japanese company only; not the ones that you already have established because the print management setting is company specific.

    If i set my the sales report with new dsign in print management then that report is considering as default report for sales invoice instead of STANDARD report. If i am not wrong

    My requirement is --

    the report with new design should run only for ONE LEGAL ENTITY i.e JAPAN and

    for other LEGAL ENTITIES the sales invoice report should run the STANDARD ONE ONLY Means (salesInvoice.report)

    If i add new report design to print management, then it will work based on legal entity ?

    Please give me more shed on this.

    Hi @rp@n,

    You need to add the SalesInvoice.newReport in AOT first. Then you can choose it in Print management. And report formats can be specific to a country/region.

    I can't see it in the drop-down list of report format in the PIC 2. Has it been added?

    Here is a blog of print setup for Sales order confirmation. It is a similar process for sales invoice report. Please refer to it.

    No, the report is now showing in print management in report format that is the STANDARD REPORT.

    My question is ,

    1. the report ( means new design ) for example- ( SalesInvoice.new design) which I am created for Japan required to set default in print management instead of ( SakesInvoice.Report) standard report?

    2. I have 5 Legal entities. I have created one separate NEW legal entity for Japan. The NEW DESIGN FOR SALES INVOICE report which I am creating is only applicable for New legal entity * Japan )  only 

    For Other existing legal entities,  the report ( SALESINVOICE.REPORT) should run the Standard only.

    Hope you understand now...

    PLEASE GIVE ME MORE SHED ON THIS

    I was asking if you have already selected your report format in the area you mentioned and still not able to generate it through print management?
