We are getting advance action messages on planned purchase orders. This doesn't make sense to me. Why cannot AX just move the planned purchase order according to the message? When the MRP has run we get futures messages that we cannot deliver on time due to that late purchase order.
Since many purchase orders are planned many months ahead I see a risk to firm the order and then just leave it to be sent later.

I have the same question (0)MRP is respecting your lead time, saying "hey, you need to violate the lead time you told me about if you want to meet the customer request date". The futures message is just a realistic delivery date at the parent level based on the purchased items lead time.
