So I am new to Navision and I am trying to figure out how I can add more layers of decriptions to an Item.

For example: I can add an Item Number and Name but where can I add a color, multiple sizes, gender, Category, etc...

Thank you,

add new fields to table item starting with field id 50000. add these fields to page item card. to do that you need a development license.

in navision you can use global dimensions like cost object and cost center and a couple of shortcut dimensions in many nav objects like items. using them you can work with measurements, statistics, analyses.

For category you can use Item Category Code or Product Group code, for the other fields you add additional fields or you can also try to use Item Variants, which you can set from the item card or Item List.

    Hi..

You can also use variant code for color or multiple sizes that will separately maintain item+variant wise inventory. Also you can use Item category code, product group code, inv posting group etc.
