Hi all
My organization is about to move users to another domain, it means that users will logon to the workstation in a domain but need continue access the CRM Dynamics which is set in the old domain.
It is not a problem if users enter the domain/username and password every time they access the CRM.
But it is not a good idea because users need to memorize the old username and pwd.
The question is: Is there a way to setup the Kerberos so that it can identify the user logged in workstation, find the corresponding user in Dynamics and auto-login it in CRM without enter the old domain/username and password?
If this is not possible, is there any idea to solve this problem?
Best regards.
Hello Renato,
Hope you are well.
You can use user coming from another domain since this domain has a trust relationship with CRM server domain.
Otherwise, you need to federate the CRM domain through a STS such as ADFS, also you need to deploy Claim-based auth/IFD.
If you are running on first scenario (domains have trust relationship), you need to update the user domain account for each user using in order remap the internal tables in Config database.
