Reports execution and BYODB issue after applying Platform Update 21

After applying Platform Update 21 to our Onebox dev VM, cloud hosted env, Tier-1 and Tier-2, we've got 2 major issue :

1- For VM and cloud hosted and Tier-1 : Reports are not executing : "Somehting went wrong while generating the report".  The error found in the eventlog :

The AXRDCE extension caught an unexpected exception for report CustListReport.Report. The error message was: Exception occurred on the metadata service on client or server. See exception details below: >The address of the security token issuer is not specified. An explicit issuer address must be specified in the binding for target 'defaultaosaddress.com/.../MetadataService' or the local issuer address must be configured in the credentials

2- For cloud hosted and Tier-2 : Any entity export to Azure SQL from Data management fails "Could not generate export file for entity".

I've seen quite a few time but it only happen for one entity which I eventually manage to fix.  But this time it is happening for all entity and I've exhausted all my usual tricks.

We are running Application Release 1611.  Anyone else with this setup (1611 + PU21)?

    Hi Amol,

    I've been told that PU24 should be released this month.  When available, you will find the Platform Update in LCS > Shared Asset Library > Software deployable package.

    Thanks everyone for the help.  Reinstalling the Reporting extension solved the problem!

    As for the BYOD issue, it's a known issue when you are using different schema than dbo for your staging tables.  Should be fixed in PU24.  Details in the comments of this page :

    just wanted to confirm that reinstalling the reporting services extension solved the problem for me too.

    (Onebox VM with PU21).

    Hello

    I was having the same issue after applying Platform Update 22 to my Onebox dev VM. I ended up reinstalling the Reporting extension (docs.microsoft.com/.../patch-reporting-service-environment) and redeploying all reports. That fixed the issue

    D365 Community,

    Can you tell me what KB you applied?  I have a ticket opened with MS about this but no resolution on the way so far.  Even if this is a private KB, maybe it can help resolve mine.

    Hello All,

    We have also the Same issue with system standard reports, it's getting error while opening the reports.

    We have 7.3 Platform Update 21 version Dev VM (vhd).

    Any one have idea for the same.

    Hi Piyush,

    We are getting report error when tried running the reports on D365 Development VM. Version is 7.3+Update 21.

    We have applied the required KB for reports issue as specified by MS.

    Please help.

    Working fine for me 7.3 +  Update 21.

    Please en-sure that you have applied all pending binary and X++ application updates too.
