Help required with SSO with AI Agent via LCW widget

I am trying to achieve SSO with AI Agent that is triggered via LCW
 
This uses Generic OAuth 2 implemented via ADB2C User Flow.
 
Once I login to my site and open the LCW script, I can see the chat button. On the lcw:ready listener I am setting setbotauthtokenprovider (which takes function(botAuthTokenUrl, callback)) as defined herehttps://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customer-service/develop/reference/methods/setbotauthtokenprovider
 
I am trying to pass the token to the botAuthTokenUrl as mentioned in the sample here https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customer-service/develop/pass-auth-token-sso-live-chat
 
After clicking it, the LCW chat button function(botAuthTokenUrl, callback) is called but botAuthTokenUrl is empty.
 
I must mention that the Auth setting done for the AI Agent does work, i.e when I click on the sign in card in the chat it triggers the AI Agent Auth flow and is able to retrieve the token as after login I can see the user data being shown inside the chat
What else do I need to do to get the botAuthTokenUrl? Do we need to set up authentication for the chat widget, I would have guessed not - as not sure how that would tie in with AI Agent token requirement
