Projects V2 data entity issue

Hi,

I am trying to export projects records through 'Projects V2' data entity in the data management workspace but it exports '0' records. But when I try to export through 'Projects' data entity, it exports '202' records from the same legal entity. Could someone please let me know if there is any parameter that needs to be setup to handle the data through 'Projects V2' data entity.

Thanks!

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Suren,

The entity ProjectsV2 can only export projects with Type "None", whereas there is no such filter set on Projects data entity. I am not sure why this filter was included in V2 entity.

Since data entity Projects has not been marked as Obsolete, you can keep using that one only for exporting.

    Hi Suren,
'Projects V2' data entity is only used for the integrated scenario. You should be using the V1 version if you are not integrated with CE (Dataverse).

    Hi Suren,

It seems that Projects V2 is not created to export to Excel or Azure SQL DB purposes. I have already tested this via several scenarios and it does not export any records.

You can use "Projects" entity to export data.

Ref to LCS: Projects v2 cannot be used to import/export projects master data:

Thanks All for your responses. In my case I am trying to integrate the Projects data with CE Dataverse. But as per the range in the ProjectsV2 entity, it doesn't pushes any record in CE entity. Could someone please share info on how we can populate Projects data in CE Dataverse entity.

    Thanks!

    Hi Suren.

This entity is only used in the Project Operations integrated scenario which uses a different data model than the standard FnO only scenario.  The integration is setup using the Dual Map provided.  If you are attempting to synchronized data from Dataverse on your own, you need to continue to use the ProjectsV1 entity.

@Michal How do you know this? Can you share documentation that would tell us more about the Data Entity? Thank you
