I'm unable to update any field in profile page.
It shows the message as successfully updated but fields doesn't get updated.

This seems to be a common problem. You could follow the step in this thread: I am not able to update the profile web form in portal - Dynamics 365 Customer Service Forum Community Forum
If this could not work, you would better raise a ticket.
