I just got a surface pro 4 and when I access AX, it is VERY tiny. I tried to mess with the remote desktop display to Large but that didn't do anything.

Any suggestions?

    Hi there!

Are you accessing through RDP or local client installed on your Surface?

I have to sign-in to our company's VPN and then I click on the AX icon which then looks like it connects via remote desktop

Then it is an issue with the remote server presenting you application in 100% magnification. The Surfaces have a very high resolution. On your desktop settings you can see you desktop magnification level. Right click your desktop to find these settings.

Now you have to find the equivalent settings on your desktop on your remote server. Probably best to try accessing your remote desktop directly and try the same exercise as on your local desktop.

My theory us that then this should bleed through when you launch the remote app. If this does not work, please contact your IT admin.

Though, it's not what I want to do, it did work! I guess I'm stuck waiting on everything else to catch up with resolution. Thank you so much for helping me!

Perhaps you can do something with scaling, look at this article.

    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/rds/archive/2013/12/16/resolution-and-scaling-level-updates-in-rdp-8-1.aspx

Now i only think that trick works on Windows 2012 servers, but i also found something for older systems here.

It is not a solution if you work with AX2012 all day every day - but if you set screen resolution for your Surface to 1920 x 1080, 'tiny' becomes 'kind of small' - which is sort of an improvement in this case. Note that I work with a local installation of AX2012 on my Surace; I don't know the effect when using remote desktop. Hope this helps!
