Adding tables to AX 2012 Default cubes

Posted on by 485

Good day Everyone,

I am trying to add some tables to AX 2012 R2 default cubes is this possible?

My scenario is the following... we have developed a sales forecast that I want to do comparison against using the sales cubes... So I am thinking of creating some tables in AX that have the forecast data then find a way to link these forecast to the sales cube to be able to use all the tables with excel pivot table.,. Any suggestions on the best way to do this are welcome.

    Hello Lionel07,

You can find a walkthrough guideline here:

Thanks much Ludwig.. would you happened to have any meaningful step by step resource on how to create a cube? I think am going to try it this way because at least I get to learn how to create it.

    Hello Lionel07,

This is possible if you know the standard cubes well.

If not, it is faster creating a new cube from scratch with the tables that you need from the standard and the one that you created.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig
