Reporting Tools Setup

I am having a problem getting SSRS reports to show on on the Home Page Metrics.  I saw this post, https://community.dynamics.com/gp/f/32/p/47256/85388.aspx, but still can't get SSRS reports to work.

We are on GP2010 11.00.1524 (SP1).  SQL Server = Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 (SP2) - 10.50.4276.0 (X64).  The name of the SQL server is "wayne".

On the Tools-Setup-System-Reporting Tools Setup screen there are 3 tabs.  Here's what I have for each tab.

SQL Server Reporting Services tab = http://wayne/ReportServer/ReportService2005.asmx   The Sharepoint option is unchecked.

Data Connections tab = http://wayne/ReportServer/ReportService2005.asmx

Reports Library tab = http://wayne/ReportServer/ReportService2005.asmx

Does anyone see what I'm doing wrong?  Thanks for your help.

I forgot to add that the error I'm getting is this:

The item '/AECI/Dynamics GP/GP Financial Reports/AECI/Purchasing/Charts And KPIs/Payables Aging' cannot be found. (rsItemNotFound)

    Terry,

Where are you seeing this error?  I'm assuming AECI is your company database name?  The hierarchy of folders is a little confusing to me.  I wouldn't expect to see "/AECI/Dynamics GP/GP Financial Reports" at the beginning.  Is that something you created/modifed, or what that created by the deployment wizard?

    Thanks

    Rob

We are seeing this error in GP, on the Metrics section of the Home Page.  AECI is the company database name.

I wasn't at this company when GP2010 was installed.  So I don't know much about the hierarchy of folders.  I do know that on Internet Explorer I can go to http://wayne/Reports/Pages/Folder.aspx, and there are folders listed.  I can click folders and eventually drill down to the report we are trying to run in the Metrics.  And that report will run in Internet Explorer.

    Terry,

Could you describe you report hierarchy?  I would expect something like the following:  root > TWO(company db name) > Sales > Charts and KPIs > Total Sales YTD.

    Thanks

In Internet Explorer, I can go to http://wayne/Reports/Pages/Folder.aspx.

Then I click on the "AF" folder.  Then I click on "Dynamics GP" folder.  Then the "GP Financial Reports" folder.  Then the "AECI" folder.  Then the "Purchasing" folder.  Then "Charts and KPIs" folder.  Then finally I see the "Payables Aging" SSRS report that I can click on and run.

    Terry,

Your report folder hierarchy is quite different than I'd expect, so I'd suggest re-deploying your srs reports.  I believe you'll need to use the srs deployment wizard, which can be installed from the Dynamics GP media.  After deploying, you should see a hierarchy like I had mentioned previously, which should work on your GP home page.

    Thanks

    Rob
