Hello,

we're using MS AX 2012 R2 as the company ERP.

We already manage price lists for the spare parts.

As we have many different price lists, we're looking for an easy solution to keep an eye on all of them, as for example an Excel spreadsheet with all the spare parts and all the different prices.

It seems that the standard version of AX does not provide anything like this.

We could build such an Excel by ourselves, but my question is... isn't there a solution (even third-party) to manage this problem (comparisions of different prices lists?)

Hello Ivan,

AX allows you to store price lists against vendor/item combinations. You can view them from the Purchase Prices button on the Item Master. If I recall correctly it is then possible to setup master planning to purchase items from the vendor who has the best price.

I think you need to start out by defining the business process and establishing what are the user requirements. How do you plan to get the price lists into AX and how is the system supposed to process them. Perhaps it is worthwhile bringing in a consultant to help with this.

Apart business processes, what the Sales dept. would like to have is something like a report to compare the items different prices.

Example:

Item1 PriceWithTrade1 PriceWithTrade2 PriceWithTrade3

Item2 PriceWithTrade1 PriceWithTrade2 PriceWithTrade3

and so on

Is there something to achieve that without developing a custom report?

Agree, this seems a straightforward report or perhaps inquire screen requirement.

I would focus more on how you will get the price data into AX.
