Dynamics AX 2012 R2 Payment SDK

The latest white paper (Changes to Credit Card Processing in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2.pdf) from Microsoft regarding Credit Card Processing changes for Dynamics AX 2012 R2 CU6/7 refer to a Payment SDK. The white paper even says "The SDK is publicly available and uses a published interface.""Support for multiple credit card processors is a benefit of using the Payment SDK. This document assumes that you are familiar with the Payment SDK." What if you are UNFAMILIAR with the Payment SDK. Where is the download for the SDK and the documentation on it's deployment and use? Since the R2 CC Changes are NEW, where can one get the appropriate interface for extending the Credit Card processor classes for the Client's 3rd party CC Payment processor? If you're going to reference a new SDK or process, an appropriate link to all related downloads and training should be available.

    Hi Mark

Unfortunately there isn't many documentations on that.

I suggest is to follow the white paper and explore the class\tables\etc.  involve in the process for understand better the functionality.

Finally, try to make a post on https://connect.microsoft.com/ or open a case in Microsoft.

    Regards

Hi Mark, to get the payment SDK, please open a Microsoft support request and we will be happy to send it to you.

Does anyone know if there's a way to get the Payment SDK documentation now, without opening a support ticket?

I can't find it on the publicly-accessible Microsoft site, or on Customer Source.

And my company doesn't currently have a support contract, so a support ticket is going to cost us $500. I'd hate to pay that, only to have them send me a link that I could have found myself if I'd looked in the right place... :)

We're currently planning an upgrade from AX 2012 to AX 2012 R3, and we have a lot of customizations to the credit card process that will need to change to work with the Payment SDK, I think.

Andrew,  For support incidents where you are just asking for the Payment Services SDK, we will not charge for the incident.  We just provide the SDK and close the incident no charge.

We would need information on which customer\company the SDK would be used for in case we need to contact you about any changes in the SDK.

If you have any questions the Payment Services SDK is supported with an advisory case and that case would be billable.

Is there a difference between the Dynamics AX SDK and the Payment Services SDK? (I'm interested in the Payment SDK). I requested the "Dynamics AX SDK" in a support incident I opened a couple days ago but still waiting for a reply. What is the general turnaround time for requesting this? Also, I filed this under "Technical Support" incidents vs. the "Operations Support". Just want to verify everything I did was correct for requesting this. Thanks.

The Payment SDK provided by Microsoft is based on R3 CU8. Reference the CU9 DLL's and it will compile.

The information of the SDK is not public available due to PCI and sensitivity of the mechanics of the Payment process internals.

Opening a request appears to want to charge me hundreds of dollars.  Please advise  how to proceed in order to acquire the Payment SDK.

The price is what you pay after the support request is closed if Microsoft Support determined that you would need to be charged.

We don't charge you for the particular case where we only send you the SDK. After sending you the SDK we will close the support request with no charge.
