Hi All

we have a requirement from customer to include 3 or 6 decimals in unit price field of the PO  based on Legal entity. as we know in D365 F&O  Standard we have only 2 decimals and making customization will effect many processes and forms . bring difference in posted amounts , inventory value and adjustments .

we cannot proceed with customization

Do we have any workaround for this type of scenarios, can we included the remaining price as line charges or do we have any workaround for the same ?? Please suggest and help Thanks

    Hi,

We did change the unit price with customization in lots of the projects.
If you do not change the rounding rules and precision of the amount fields. There should not be an issue.
But I agree with you not to customize and find a workaround.

A workaround is defining prices for more pieces at once than a single one. If you have nails sold for 0.001 each, you can define the price as 0.1 for 100 pieces, for example. Also, maybe you always buy boxes of nails, not individual pieces, therefore you can define a price for the whole box.
