Item Reclass. Journal

Hello everyone,

This is in Microsoft Dynamics NAV Classic (Version 6).

I tried to do an inventory transfer from location A to B using an Item Reclass. Journal. When posting, I noticed that even though the inventory quantities in location A decreased, it did not increase in location B.

I noticed that nothing was created in the Item Application Entry table.

Any idea on what might be wrong?

Thank you in advance.

    Hi,

Did system create additional two Item ledger entries with Entry Type Transfer ??

    Hello Krishna,

Yes. I have two item ledger entries of the type transfer. In the second entry, instead of showing the quantity transfered to warehouse B, it shows 0.

Please check the Item Ledger Entries for that item and let us know how many it created ? It should create two entries of type transfer one with location code A and other location code B.

May be it transferred the inventory to another location ?

Please check whether you have any customizations.

I tested in cronus NAV2009R2 database and working fine.

    Hi Suresh,

Like I said, 2 entries of the type TRANSFER were created.

    4682.Capture.JPG

The transfer was supposed to be done from 1.MAIN to 4.RMA. As you can see, the quantity in the second line is 0.

    Hi Suresh,

If the inventory got transfered to a different location then I don´t know how it happened... Also, how could I know that?

Navigate the document number and check once.

I don't think standard system will create Item Ledger Entry with zero quantity. Check if you have any customization's which is behaving against standard system.

Also zero may create any unexpected error while Adjusting cost or Unit cost update or any where else as it has a cost of 94 as shown in image.
