Not able to access Management Reporter from client

Hi,

I recently installed Management Reporter 12 on my AX 2012 R3 CU8 enviornment.It is working well on my server.

However when i installed the management reporter using the same AX Setup i am getting the following error

"Management Reporter

Can't connect to the Management Reporter server. Do you want to specify a different server address?
Yes No "

On clicking yes the connection form is available,on press of test connection button i get the following error.

"Connection attempt failed. There is a version mismatch between the client and the server. Contact your system administrator.

OK "

I checked the version on my server the version of MR is 2.1.1200.26.I am using the same AX setup to install the MR on my client.

Kindly help me with this issue.Thanks in advance.

Hello

Please recheck your versions;

There has been released a Quality release for CU12. Maybe they show the same version number but you don't have installed exactly the same release.

Btw. Is the URL in the client correct?

And finally, I suppose to install CU14.

I face similar problem for client machine. You must specify exact server address for your management reporter. Check this screenshot below, you will find server address to connect management reporter from client machine to your server....

There could be issue

either

- the server details may not be proper while installing client

or

- the user don't have proper roles assigned on AX to access Management reporter. try to assign "Account manager" role to user by which you are accessing MR

Hello Chandan,

I faced the same error when i used seperate slip stream management reporter setup to install MR in server and tried AX2012 R3 setup to install MR client.

Then i used same slipstream setup of MR and installed MR client as well.

So try using same setup which you used to install MR server to install MR client as well.

The server details are the same if i am trying to access MR from my client installed on server machine.The same credentials are used on the client machine.Also i am trying to use the client from "System Administration" Account.I even tried accessing the client using fully qualified name for the server but still no result.

Please let me know which account did you used for management reporter installation in client systems. Install with ax admin account only...

Hi Chandan,

I have faced problems in installation using AX setup, May be a bug

Don't install from the AX 2012 R3 CU8 Slipstream Set up.

try to download Management Reporter 2012 CU 13 from blogs.msdn.com/.../management-reporter-2012-cu-13-now-available.aspx and install from that set up only Management Reporter 2012 CU 13.
