Wondering if there is a way to set a journal description field to mandatory without help from a developer?

Hi RoDAXGal, You can set the LedgerJournalTable.Name field property to "YES". Yet, this would be a kind of development as you cannot do this in the AX client. In some countries, the field is mandatory by default but in general I would say that you need the help of a developer if you do not have access to the AOT. Best regards, Ludwig
You to access development tools to make that field as mandatory. Isn’t difficult, but there isn’t other way.
If you want to make field mandatory, it is very simple change in field property. (process -AOT - Data Dictionary ->Tables->LedgerJournalTable-JournalName-right click - property - mandatory - yes)you don't have to inject any code for same. If you are not willing to do by yourself then need developer help.
