    hi,

    rename key is  sysRenameKey

This key is findable in the form SysRecordInfo

To grant users permissions you need to copy the form into the role that is used for that employee en grant him permission

ok, well when you open the AOT twice , the first one you go to the form, the second screen you go to the right role.

after doing that you copy that form and paste it in the role under permission> forms.

Then you go back to the forms (first AOT), navigate to the permissions under permission delete you see 2 controls copy that to the second AOT (security role) under the form you copied.

please test and see if you like this, or check if this is what you want

    Regards,

Ok. I mixed up something. Forget my previous answer. My first answer was almost correct. Here are some more details.

The form SysRecordInfo is used for the record info. It has a button which calls the menu-item SysRenameKey. This menu-item is attached to a privilege with the same name. Then this privilege is used in a duty also called SysRenameKey.

You have to include the duty SysRenameKey into the role where the people will be allowed to use this function. It will not work if they only have read access on a certain fornm.

In standard AX, the only role with this duty is the Information Technology Manager.

Here is a custom role I created that works for a new item:
