Hi, the company I work for currently has GP 12.SP2. I  would like to know if there is any way to copy and paste from excel to GP in this version of dynamics?

There is no GP 2012. Do you mean GP 2013? If you want to do one GL transaction at a time there is the Excel Paste Function. If you want to do more than one GL transaction at a time or import AR/AP and PR check out Infiniatech.com and their Excel Integrator product.

We have offered several Excel data import solution into GP for our clients - like Excel JE to GP, Excel Bank Transaction to GP, Excel Sales order, quotes  to GP etc...if you are interested please let me know.

Just to be clearer, our specific version is 12.00.1538 (SP2), Great Plains 2013.

The Excel Paste functionality directly within GP came with GP 2013. It does allow for only one ledger entry at a time. If you need to import multiple entries you will need a third party product.

I am looking to copy and paste multiple rows at once. I understand that will most likely be the case but I was hoping someone on this forum could at least make some suggestions as to which ones I should use. My company is not really looking to invest much more money in GP at the moment therefore a free 3rd party product would be even better if possible.

Titanium GP would be the 3rd Party software I would recommend for Copy Paste functionality from Excel. They have option to copy paste for Various screens.

Thank you for your suggestion but unfortunately it will not work for us because as I previously stated my company is not looking to spend money on adding functionalities to GP.

The built in Excel paste for GP allows for one journal entry at a time. That journal entry can consist of as many distributions as required. The third [arty Excel Paste options are not that expensive. Management will need to balance the time spent copying and pasting single entries versus the cost of the third party product.
