Refersh Entity Store execting without end

Hi guys,

When Refresh Entity Store, it is executing without End. Where we can check what is going on ? I cannot even delete since the status "Executing", the system not allow to delete.

I have to stop the service and start again. The status changed to "Error" eventually, but there is no message.

Can we check in Event Viewer ?

Please help

Hi Anton,

You can check the processing details of the data project while it is processing. Can you indicate how many entities you have enabled and how many transactions you have in your environment?

Can you also tell what exact service you restarted and what type of environment you are using here? Is it a production, test or development machine? Cloud hosted or on-premise?

Hi Andre,

I'm sorry, where to check or what is the meaning of "Processing detail of data project" ? Well, it's a Custom Entity and the transaction I can say not moving since it is Development environment and for the moment I'm the one using it.

So it could be logic/code problem behind ? whereby it doesn't capture in Build and Synchronize ?

So to answer the next question, I restart Dynamics Batch Job in Windows Services, and it is Dev Environment (onebox) and it's on Azure.

Hi all,

Does anyone can help me with this ? I really don't have a clue how to check the cause of the Refresh Entity Store batch job keep executing and then after "several hours" it's returned error without any batch job log. And in normal it only took around 5 minutes.

Build and Synchronize is completed without error, so what gone wrong ?

Hi Tony,

I did face some performance issues and blocking queries in the database due to this job, and the solution was to switch to automatic refresh rather than scheduled batch. Once this is enabled, the scheduled batch job can be canceled or kept in withhold status.

Hello Anton,

Under System Administration -> Batch Jobs section you can check under the Batch tasks about the actual status of the tasks in hand. The Batch job Deploy Measures or Full reset is the batch that triggers the deployment of measures in F&SCM. At the same time, looks like your Batch management Service's behavior is inconsistent. Check the status of the Batch Management Service in the host machine.

Also, in the entity store you can set your entity store to refresh every hour or day or a week, especially for the custom entity. Set the entity store refresh to run every hour for the entity where you are trying to get data into. A full reset should reset the entity store and populate data into the custom entity.

Also, there is a refresh section in the entity store screen beneath the General section and this shows the status of the data being populated in the entities. Check the AxDW database for data population within those entities.
