Dear All,

how can we add charges to Purchase Order, then partial invoicing and allocate charges as per received quantity.

As i know that AX standard post full charges amount to first invoice, remaining will have zero charges amount.

kindly advice.

    Hi David,

    Check out 'Proportional', described here:

    Hi David Tailor,

What you have quoted above is partially correct

your quote - "As i know that AX standard post full charges amount to first invoice, remaining will have zero charges amount."

You can add charges for the purchase order which are based on the purchase order quantity. While adding the charges to a purchase order you have to select proper category value which decides how charges amount will be added in case of partial receipts and invoicing.

So consider this we created a purchase order for 110 pcs and the first receipt was for 70 pcs and now you want to add Handling  charge 11 euro per pc

Add charge code Handling and select the value "Pcs" in the category field. Now as you post product receipt for 70 pcs and you invoice this receipt AX will add a charge of 770 euro.

The remaining charge of 440 will be added for the next invoice.

The category value "Percent" also adds charge as a percentage of the purchase order total amount value. Also as suggested by Guy proportional is another option.

What you said hold good if the category type is "Fixed" as the charges if calculated as fixed amount, and you change the default amount to invoice a partial invoice the remaining amount from the purchase order is not retained for the future invoices of the purchase order.

Thank you Guy and Sagar for your quick replies. It was helpful.

I only change the type to proportional and charges get calculated per product receipt when i invoice receipt quantity.

    thank you again.
