Move item from USER location to PICK location

How do we move an item that was stuck in a USER location to a PICK location.

I have a work order that was cancelled in the middle of picking process. The item was left on LOADS and we cannot complete this anymore because the work was cancelled.

Hi Richard,

Try this in a TEST environment first if you can.

Get ALL of your hand-held users to sign-off, and keep them signed off for the duration.

Change the Warehouse parameter for the Location profile of the 'User location' to something else (making a note of how it was set). Since the location of your user will no longer match the Location profile for the 'User location' you will be able to move the stock using a Transfer journal. Once you have moved the stock, change the parameter back.

Yes we have already tried the other suggestions.

Hi Richard,

I did not want you to change the 'Location profile' of the location 'RM'. I meant go into the 'Warehouse management parameters' form -> 'General' -> 'Location profiles' -> 'User location'. Create a dummy location profile and set it here.

If you do that, the 'RM' location is no longer a User location.

We have made a change (an extra field on the Worker setup), that allows the user with that setup to move inventory out of the user location.

That is not back-ported yet though. Which version do you need it on?

Hi Guy

We managed to change the location profiles-‘user location’ but the problem now is that we cannot transfer or move it because the items are still reserved against the work order that has been cancelled. Is there any way to take off the reservation?
