We would like to set up an alert for sales orders on prepaid/cash as payment terms. The shipment won't proceed unless there's a confirmed payment from the customer. I am not sure if this is possible in Business Central

You can setup Prepayments on the Customer Card (which will be applied automatically to all orders).
Or you can setup Prepayments per Order in the tab "Prepayment".
When you have entered how much you want to have prepaid, it will not be possible to Release the Order.
