Create new field without a prefix

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

While I thought this is possible because a previous developer created a field with a N:1 relationship titled email_campaignid and our integration services needs this field. I am trying to manually recreate this field in another Dynamics but am not able to because my publisher prefix is always added. How can I recreate this field without the prefix?

    Hello Yeti0203,

You can change the prefix of new fields from your solutions including the default solution.

By design the prefix is added when creating new fields : docs.microsoft.com/.../change-solution-publisher-prefix

    Thanks,

    Hi,

I don't think you can remove the prefix, you can customize the prefix by changing the solution publisher:

    docs.microsoft.com/.../change-solution-publisher-prefix

    community.dynamics.com/.../where-define-the-prefix-names-fields
