Best practice to work on SSRS report using TFS

ReportReport
Posted on by 6,478

Hello,

I have to modify SalesInvoiceReport on the dev box where we use TFS.

What is the best way in order to get latest version, check-out, check-in etc...

Should I have checked-out the Visual Studio project too in AX to work on invoice or it is enough just to check-out report itself?

Thanks.

Your source code is in the project, therefore you definitely need it in version control.

    Hi

The best way is get the last version, do the check out, then you be able to modify the report on Visual Studio.

if you use more than one language in your application, create always first the primary language and then the others.

When you finish your modifications , you must check in again the object.

Remember to check in/out the SSRSReport object and the Visual Studio Project.
