Can you tell me what functionality the OnlineServices.dll provides to GP?
I’m not clear on what’s happening with this particular error that suddenly just cropped up on two of our Citrix GP hosts.
As soon as the GP login window appears, non-admin users see the following error:
Clicking OK closes GP as indicated.
I was drawn to this line in the log “An exception occurred while trying to load or initialize the addin located at OnlineServices.” I checked the size, version, dates and permissions of Microsoft.Dynamics.GP.OnlineServices.dll between the three servers and it’s the same between them all. The error log mentions being “unable to get a valid config from serialized string”; does OnlineServices have a config file written out someplace?
