Error received when creating clients/accounts through RestAPI: Cannot create a lookup without the required parameters.

Hello All,

First off just a disclaimer: I'm new to Dynamics CRM so please excuse any very obvious mistakes!

I'm creating an Integration for a client between Salesforce and Peppermint which exists on Dynamics CRM. I am testing the APIs in Postman. I have managed to create Contacts fairly easily but am required fields included.

I am inserting a JSON which has a lookup to the an existing Primary Contact using the format:

"primarycontactid@odata.bind": "/contacts(00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000)"

but this is returning the error: "Cannot create a lookup without the required parameters."

Am I missing something? Are there other expected parameters that are required?

Many Thanks

Tom
