Business Rule Errors in Process Definition

Posted on by 360

Hi Community,

I have a Business Rule that lock/unlock fields based on the value of one field. When I try to publish the business rule, the error appears in the screenshot. The problem is resolved when I make the assignment rule directly to the user, not to the team. Why are there errors when the rule validates successfully? How can I resolve this problem.

Thanks in advance.

Hi dwight. I'm so sorry for late response. It wasn't resolved. I think so this is a Microsoft bug.

Hello not sure if you were able to get it resolved? I am experiencing the same issue with our solution as well.

    Hi Leah,

Thanks for your response. I tried a different team and encountered the same error. I checked team it's available. By the way the team have admin role.

    Thank you.

    Hi Onur,

From your screenshot, you set owner value as condition in business rule, and it can success when you select user to owner, but it failed when you select team to owner, right?

I tested it as your description, set record's owner equals to one team as condition, it can active successfully.

This error may be caused by the value of the lookup field(Owner).

So you must ensure that the team you select exists in your environment.

You can change another team to the condition and test again.

Or opening teams entity view to check that team you select exists or not?
