AOS Cluster The specified client configuration does not contain valid WCF settings

Hi,

We run an AOS cluster consisting of 1 load balancing AOS and 2 AOS batch servers.  As per standard instruction, the client connection file is setup to connect to the load balancing server and the load balancer determines which AOS batch server the client is directed to.  This appears to run fine, however when the client is opened the user gets the following error, The specified client configuration does not contain valid WCF settings.  If I try to regenerate WCF settings in the client configuration tool, an error is given.  My question is how do I get around this, I have the .Net business connector installed on both batch processing AOS servers but not on the load balancer.  Can someone instruct me on the best setup to deal with this situation where clients are setup to point to the Load balancer.  We are also using citrix and the client config is saved in the registry.

Many thanks in advance

    Hi

You can check if the inboud services, like UserSessionService and AxClient, are Up & Running ?

The environment have CIL compiled correctly ?

You need to install .net business connector on load balance also

Please install it and regenerate WCF setting in the client configuration tool

Please verify and update us if this helps you

    Hi Nitesh,

I have installed the BC on the load balancer also but when I try to generate WCF from the client config I get the same error - I get this error generating WCF from the client where the only AOS in the client connection is the load balancer.

Please verify the firewall betwenn the servers, for test porpouse deactivate it in all servers and also verify if you have proxy configurations in your browser and than try to validate the WCF again...

WCF is a webservice, so you should be able to access this through Internet Explorer, if a proxy or firewall is enabled they can be the problem!

The firewall is disabled for domain networks and also I have a client installed on the load balancer as well now and I cannot generate WCF for this either.  I was able to generate WCF fine before I introduced a load balancer, now I have the problem.

Try to create a new Client configuration ponting it to a non load balance AOS server and than validate the WCF, if it work repeat the proccess with the other AOS Server...

If it dont work verify the ports that you are using in your cliente configuration utility.

I have done this and it regenerates fine when I put either of my non load balancing AOS servers in for connection - issue occurs when I put in the LB AOS - but for load balancing to work you have to have only the load balancer in the config?

You can try the non load balance cluster:

I don't really want to go down the route of not having a load balancer - besides, I am sure I am not the first customer that has this setup and cannot generate WCF when the client is configured to connect to a load balancer.

    I have the same issue.
I tryed to create a configuration without WCF, so i can use the load balance AOS.
But i have not tried all the transactions, so i'm not sure that is fine.

    Many thanks.
