Markup percentage on PO items used on Project

Hi,

I have a PO generated from within project accounting , where the PO line item is of type procurement category, and the allocated project category if of type item.

If the line item total on the PO is $100, is it possible when it gets invoiced through the invoice proposal in Project to mark it up for example $150? As of now  based on some testing the cost and sales prices are the same.

Thanks

Sam

Check the project parameters setting for Sales price = cost price as this applies to procurement categories with a project category type of Item. If this setting is not marked, the sales price will not default as the cost price and will be editable.

    Hi,

The parameter is set to yes. and the sales price on the project invoice is defaulting to the cost price that is on the PO. However, what if I need to put a markup so the sales price  = cost price + % markup on the project invoice?

    Thanks

    Sam

    Hi Sam.

Your request can be solved by the following setup. The procurement category is linked with a project category. In the form „sales price expense“ you have to setup a new line for this category with sales price model = contribution ration. As soon as you create a new purchase order line you can check the result of this setup in the fast tab project of the line details.

    Best regards

    Christoph

    Hi Christoph

I was reading your above solution as we also have the same scenario, I have tried to test the above solution but was unable to get the desired out come I just wanted to clarify some of the points:

    1. I have linked the Product Item to the Project Category of type item but How do you link a project category to the procurement category - I went on the to procurement category form and I am unable to find the project category field.

    2. On the sales price (expense) form one can only list project expense categories but the project category for any Product item is of type "Item"

I am not sure if I have got the setup incorrect or using the wrong forms.
