Thanks for quick response
You can migrate email router setting to Server Side synchronization. refer below article.
Hi Hari,
First of all you are able to install Server Side Sync with CRM 2015, so you will be able to get it up and running in your current environment, and then do the migration.
Also, you don't need to set up your entire organization to use Server Side Sync. You can use just a few mailboxes on Server Side Sync, and continue using Email Router on the others until you have this configured.
There should not be any issues having this installed on both test and prod environments. We have it configured that way.
Only uninstall email router once server side sync is completely working and configured so that you can roll back if you need.
One last thing. If you want to delay Server Side Sync till after you move to CRM 2016, that should work as well. Server Side Sync for Dynamics 365 has more fixes then the Server Side Sync for 2015.
I would migrate to 365 with Email Router for Dynamics 365, and then deal with Server Side Sync, but it is based on your timeline of deployment and bandwidth.
Hope this helps.
Hi Hari,
You can migrate the settings from the email router to Server Side Synchronization. Please check following article which instructs how to do so: technet.microsoft.com/.../dn832114.aspx
Also, to answer your questions:
Referring to upgrade option section, can we go for server-side sync during CRM 2015 update and we don't require any changes related to that when we will upgrade to CRM 2016, please confirm?
-> Yes, you can do the migration while you are on CRM 2015 and then upgrade to 2016.
How we will test in non-PROD environment and PROD environment? - Testing result in current TEST environment
-> You can't do both tests at the same time, against the same email address. SSS can synchronize only one CRM mailbox to only one Exchange mailbox. So if you plan to test against the same email address, you would need to the test on non-prod and then configure the prod Organization to be the synchronizing Organization, and test on prod.
Should we uninstall currently installed email router?
-> after enabling server side sync, i suggest you disable the mail router windows service and start testing. If all goes well you can uninstall the email router. ,
Hi

- no changes required. But to be safe, remember to test it.
How we will test in non-PROD environment and PROD environment? - Testing result in current TEST environment
- one at the time, if you are in test environment, configure to sync with test and etc.
- i always go for the test button. You receive result in shortly, if there is any errors, the log is there.
Should we uninstall currently installed email router?
- Do not delete it first , there is a way can migrate the email router setting to server side sync setting.
