we are in an upgrad Project from AX 3.0 ( yess !!!!) to AX 2012 R2
The "Financial Statments" Reports were used heaviely in AX 3 but in AX 2012R2 the performanc is very poor ..
(AX 3.0 3 s .. AX 2012 R2 15 min (!!) same data)
During calculation AOS (4 CPU) one CPU is fully used ( ~90%) any ideas?

As mentioned below, Management Reporter is the solution you want to use with AX. Its installed with AX 2012 now and the menu item is in the Reports section where the AX financial statements used to be. Hi.
With these extreme differences in response time I suggest you monitor the database queries and see what AX2012 is doing. If you are missing a index on a queried column the database might loop trough the entire table instead of doing a index scan.
In AX 3.0 I also remember applying 1 new indexes on a table "ledgerbalance<something>" to get correct speed on the financial statements. Maybe you need the same fix in AX2012 ?

its realy horrible .. 10 mins in AX 2012 and 3 secs in AX 3.0 .. and not pdf out put

Hi Pirmin,
It depends on the number of data and number of dimensions being used within the report. You can try to use the trace parcer to see what is happening and what takes the most time. (is it data or progamming statements)
You must know that the statements are not printed by a report as was in AX3.0, but now is being exported to Excel. The COM interface to Excel is not the quickest technology... :-(
