Overall, I think the Unified Experience is great: much neater than the previous versions. However, it seems that some functionality has been removed. For example, Print Preview---a much-needed feature for our Finance Team--is gone; so is the ability to quickly send a merge from a Marketing List. We use CRM Marketing for sending out large emails, but for smaller groups (eg, our Board), it's great to be able to send an email quickly to the Board Marketing List.
These are the first two functions I notice missing after moving to the Unified Experience yesterday, and I'm not sure what else we're going to notice over the coming days, weeks, and months.
I hope the UE is a work in progress and that all the missing features will eventually find their way back onto the menu, so we can deprecate the old web interface. If that doesn't happen, we're stuck with keeping the old GUI running indefinitely {we had to add a link on our SharePoint homepage (forceclassic=1) to let our staff continue to work in CRM} as the new GUI just isn't workable in its current state.
Hi Iron,
Microsoft is trying to reach parity between the Unified Interface and the Classic Interface so that all of the components and features that are available in the Classic Interface will be made available in the Unified Interface (UCI). The next release called Wave 2 has already Release Notes published and you can see what will be expected for the October release:
docs.microsoft.com/.../2019wave2
Some features which might go away, will probably have some workaround so that you can achieve them.
Hope this helps.
