Handle Schedule Changes in Manufacturing

Hi,

Does anyone know the best practice how to reschedule upper level production order where there is a change in the lower level production order?

Let's say we have 3 BOM Level = FG - SFG 1 - SFG 2

By default if we create production order, there will be like this:

1. Starting DateTime of FG = Ending DateTime of SFG 1

2. Starting DateTime of SFG 1 = Ending DateTime of SFG 2

If in the actual production shop floor there is a delay (changes in Starting DateTime and Ending Date-Time) in "SFG 2", how we can synchronize this delay on the SFG 1 and FG Production Order? And how about the link between FG Production Order and related Sales Order (if any)?

Kindly please advice.

Thanks.

start/end times you can set in routing (lines). also set wait time.

    Hi Jonathan,

    Thanks for your update.

But what my concern is how to do "Push" scheduling if there is a change in lower level BOM. (Changes in lower level will affect schedule for the upper level)

    Best Regards,

    Olwin

    Hi Olwin,

You can run Planning Worksheet > Calculate Net Change Plan and see if system suggests for the required rescheduling - considering multilevel BOM.

Otherwise, you need to manually set the Staring Date for the upper level.

I understand, it is lot of manual work, but otherwise I do not see any other option available in the system.
