Hi All
Any ideas on how i can speed up the Excel upload/posting i know it uses (Slowdata)Odata but was hoping there were some settings that could help,
I have already tried unicking Publish data sequentially which help a lot 50% improvement
any idea tips and trick welcome

What kind of data volumes are you handling? Could you use Data management proejcts instead of Excel addin for your large data scenarios?
Most of them are around are around 1000 lines, which take 7 mins to load and 8 mins to post, using Data Management and we i get the same results
Posting happens once the data is in the system, so it doesn't get faster, no matter how you enter the data to the system.
Which entity is this? Could you consider splitting it to smaller journals?
There are some journals where some summary field in the journal header is updated after every line that is added. So if you add 1000 lines, it calculates this summary 1000 times. And with each added line it might even get slower, depending on the calculation logic.
Posting is also usually slower if you have a huge number of lines.

Some data entities are indeed slow using the Excel add-in. This can be due to the number of tables used in the entity or some x++ coding. Which exact entity are you using?
