PowerBI.com integration with on-premises environments

Hi All,
 
i have configured entity store as per below document, where i have configured AXDW database, but the team is using direct query to connect to the AXDW and connection is successsfull, however the client does not wish direct query to SQL, is there a way to connect through API to AXDW ?
