Help Server Error

Error: Unable to contact the server help service svc

We get this error after Installing Enterprise Portal. Help server was installed on port no 80 by default and even EP installed on same port no so Port nos WAS CLASHING.

Solution:

Uninstall Help Server
a. Go to IIS and create new website (Right click on “sites” add new web site)

b. Enter Website name (HelpServer)

c. Enter a different port no (other than 80)

d. Create a folder DynamicsAX6Helpserver at C:\inetpub\wwwroot\

e. Enter the path C:\inetpub\wwwroot\DynamicsAX6HelpServer on Physical path

3. Now install Help server when asked for web site name enter “HelpServer”.

I believe it can also work, by just changing the port number from IIS Website (HelpServer site of AX).

so, why to do extra effort of removal and installing again the whole help server..????
