Create goal metric KPI for % of leads processed on time

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi all,

Thanks in advance for your help. For my organization I'm trying to build a KPI dashboard in Dynamics CRM (Version 1612 (8.2.8.15) (DB 8.2.8.15) on-premises).

One of our process KPIs is the % of Leads that are processed in time, which for us means; moved from status reason 'open' / 'new' to subsequent statuses such as 'contacted'. We would like our people that do Lead follow-up to process 80% of the new leads in a week or less.

My logic for a goal would be: 80% of new leads (looking at created on date) moved from 'new' to 'contacted' in 7 days or less. Compare Leads that are older than a week and still on 'new' vs total Leads and display as a %.

So far, I have not been able to achieve anything close to this. All goal metrics and roll-up queries in Dynamics seem to be aimed at counting or summing numbers (e.g. actual revenue) and comparing it to a static target (e.g. 1 million actual revenue in Q3). I did not find any threads on the forum on this topic as well.

Has any of you tried to achieve a KPI goal metric and could you give me some advice on if this can be achieved?

Kind regards,

Bob

    Hi Bob,

Thank you for your question and for using the Dynamics Forums

You migth need to modify the chart xml file to achive your goal. I found some articles on the crmchartguy with some steps in how to change the labels of the charts
