Not able to Post Fixed Assets Acquisition Journal Getting an error of valid dimension combination

Hi All,

I had created account structure in following manner

For Income statement I want some value in cost center and profit center hence I put * so that user can select any value and blank is not allow.

But while posting FA acquisition journal getting an error

Any advised o the above error.

Hi Dhananjay,

Do you check if there is advanced structure?

Can this combination be posted in general journal?

And words on the right of second screenshot is unclear, could you re-upload it?

Hi Mattguo,

The words from second screen shot is

" Voucher CLM-AA-0000003

You must select a value in the CostCenter field in combination with the following dimensions values that are valid:

MainAccount 64002200.

Practice <blank>.

SubPractice1 <blank>.

SubPractice2 <blank>.

RevenueType <blank>.

The combination was not validated beyond the CostCenter financial dimension.

Dimension values were validated with this account structure: Accounting Structure

Account number for transaction type Ledger journal does not exist.

Reported from company accounts clm"

There is no advance structure or advance rule on accounting structure.

So please let me know how to resolve this error.

It would help if the posting error details are not highlighted and have clear visibility.

Did you add the segment values in the exact format as in the account structure with the defined condition within your journal?

I can barely see the journal line but seems the offset account and dimension values on your journal line do not match the account structure as shared in the first screenshot.

Hi Dhananjay,

Why the RevenueType dimension is blank? It should have a value as the blank RevenueType in structure is not allowed.

Hello Dhananjay Vyavahare,

I can see 2 issues are here as per your posts.

Issue 1: - You must select a value in the Cost Center field in combination with the following dimensions values that are valid.

Issue 2: - Account number for transaction type Ledger journal does not exist.

For 1st issue; just because you have set the cost center as mandatory dimension for account range 60000000..79000500; therefore system is asking to fill the cost center dimension value for offset account 64002200.

At the same time, system should throw you error to fill the "Revenue type" dimension value too as this is also set as mandatory for the same account range. No idea why it is not showing any message for that!!

For 2nd issue; you need to check in fixed asset posting profile setup and see if you have set the main accounts for transaction type "Acquisition" or not.

Also please check the combination you set in the Financial dimension configuration for integrating applications form. It must be same as per the combination you set in the configure account structure form.

Hi Sourav,

Please find herewith my response for the queries you have.

For 1st issue; just because you have set the cost center as mandatory dimension for account range 60000000..79000500; therefore system is asking to fill the cost center dimension value for offset account 64002200. :- I had enter the value of cost center dimension .

For 2nd issue; you need to check in fixed asset posting profile setup and see if you have set the main accounts for transaction type "Acquisition" or not. :- The 64002200 is mapped for the Acquisition type.

Also please check the combination you set in the Financial dimension configuration for integrating applications form. It must be same as per the combination you set in the configure account structure form. :- Yes it is configure in the same manner as per accounting structure

Even after all these set up getting an error hence I am worried.

Hi Dhananjay Vyavahare,

Can you delete that line in the journal and re-create it with all required dimensions selected in the line.

After that see if this is validating or not!

the posting for FA asset acquisiton would have debit and credit impact

could you validate if those accounts are provided the needed financial dimensions as per accounts structure
