Hi,I'm creating a new D365 app.I'm thinking of using an existing solution and modifying it.Once modified to fit the brief. How will I then only allow certain users to have access to this new application.Would I need to create a new 'contact' entity. I'm hoping this will be populated by an API from another application and can accept manually entered data.or will just applying Roles / permission do the trick. This new app will also need to incorporate Marketing. Will probably use this as the initial solution used.I think there is a spare D365 Marketing Application??Any advice / ideas as to how to create a new app would be grateful
Regards
Chris
Hi Manoj,
Thank for these links. Can you provide some advice as in best practise or easy of creation. So if I have a list of contacts that I only want certain people to see and add to a marketing list can I do this from an existing app? There is already a couple of apps that are being used for Sales, Marketing.Would I need to tag / provide a unique Contact type to the record?Would the creation of a new application be a better solution?
Hi Chris1968,You can create your custom model driven app :- https://www.tatvasoft.com/blog/powerapps-model-driven-apps-part-2/To give access to only particular users/role Please refer the below link. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/model-driven-apps/share-model-driven-app#share-a-model-driven-app
Thanks,Manoj. Please mark this as VERIFIED if it helps.
